Republicans respond to Bernie Sanders visit to Louisville
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Republican National Committee and Governor Matt Bevin issued a statement following Democratic Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders visit to Louisville Sunday.
“Bernie Sanders is running on a platform which would devastate Kentucky: skyrocketing taxes on families and businesses, the elimination of its coal industry, and throwing millions off their current health insurance plan. While President Trump continues to enact prosperous policies and fight for fairer trade deals for the state, Sanders’ agenda would put them out of work and hand them a large tax bill in the process.” – RNC Spokesperson Kevin Knoth
Governor Bevin posted his response on twitter.
Bernie Sanders is in Louisville, supporting his friend, Andy Beshear, and spreading his hateful class warfare and communist ideology…
Kentucky voters….Which side are you on?
Do you support socialism or do you still believe that America is the greatest nation on earth? ?? pic.twitter.com/4ZKYO1FNid
