Report: Kentuckians Spend 2K a Year on Cigarettes
According to Kentucky’s Health Commissioner the average Kentucky smoker spends more than 22-hundred dollars a year on cigarettes.
The commissioner says more than 950-thousand Kentuckians are smoking, purchasing more than 450 million packs of cigarettes each year.
More than six-thousand minors begin smoking each year and 24 percent of pregnant women also smoke.
The Health Commissioner also says 78-hundred deaths are attributed to smoking in Kentucky every year.
