Report: Arrest made in Letcher Co. school meth case

LETCHER COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man has been arrested in connection to an incident Tuesday involving methamphetamines at Letcher Middle School.

According to the Mountain-Eagle newspaper, 21-year-old Bobby Heiston supplied meth to a student to sell at the school.

The Letcher County Sheriff’s Department tells the newspaper the child couldn’t sell the meth and ended up giving it away.

Five students were involved in the incident, according to the school.

One student was taken to the hospital.

Heiston is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance.
