Report: 1 Dead, 1 Injured In Overpass Collapse On I-75 In Cincinnati

Officials said one person died and another person was injured when an overpass along I-75 in Cincinnati collapsed Monday night.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reported that according to police dispatch, southbound I-75 was closed indefinitely after the overpass collapse north of the old Hopple Street Bridge.

It happened around 10:30 p.m., according to officials.

The Cincinnati Fire Department said the overpass was undergoing demolition at the time of the collapse.

The newspaper reported that at least one tractor trailer was damaged by the collapse.

Fire and EMS officials said one construction worker was killed and a tractor trailer driver was injured.

No names were released.
