Remembering Ricardo Nunez

STANFORD, Ky. (WTVQ) – There are heavy hearts at Lincoln County High school.

The district says Ricardo Nunez, a senior, who was hurt in a Labor Day Crash died Tuesday afternoon.

People who knew Nunez say he was a great guy who was full of life and potential. They are now trying to focus on the good memories and his sense of humor.

Nunez and some friends were coming back from a beach trip in Florida on Labor Day when they crashed in Tennessee.

Knoxville Police say Nunez was in the backseat and thrown from the car. He died Tuesday afternoon.

A candlelight vigil will be held on the Lincoln County High School football field Wednesday night at 7:00.

Visitation will be Sunday evening, September 27 from four until nine and Monday, September 28 from 11 to one at the Lincoln County High School Auditorium. The funeral service will be Monday afternoon at one o’clock.

Stanford Church of the Nazarene is collecting online donations to help the Nunez family with expenses.
