State prison worker accused of selling cell phone to inmate

CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police arrested Wednesday a recreation leader at Green River Correctional Complex in Muhlenberg County.

Investigators say J. Michael Collins is accused of selling a cell phone to a prisoner.

KSP says Collins was charged with Promoting Contraband 1st Degree and Official Misconduct 1st Degree.

He was taken to the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
