Rain is causing problems on roads

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) -The rain is causing flooding and slides that are threatening people and businesses.

According to the Transportation Cabinet’s District 12, troublesome creek in Knott County was overflowing with water that’s getting on the road.

Mudslides are an issue in Pike County near Kellog’s and on KY 610.

They’ve also seen problems in Floyd County where water is on the road between mile points eight and nine at Martin.

A mudslide near the post office at Printer has the road down to one lane.

In Letcher County, there’s another mudslide by the Letcher County School Bus Garage and one lane is blocked.

The Transportation Cabinet says there’s a slide at mile marker 66 of Mountain Parkway in Magoffin County.

In Madison County, emergency management says first responders had to rescue someone from water on Tates Creek Road.
