Quiet weather pattern settles in
Meteorologist Dillon Gaudet has the latest in your full ABC 36 Storm Team forecast
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Happy Tuesday! We are continuing our well deserved quiet weather pattern today. After a beautiful sunrise, we will see mostly sunny-to-partly cloudy skies for the rest of the day. There’s also the chance of a few isolated showers and possibly a storm or two mainly in northeastern Kentucky. Temperatures today will begin to drop below average as we will struggle to reach the upper 70s for most of the region.
Below average temperatures will continue through the rest of the week. Afternoon highs on Wednesday and Thursday won’t get out of the mid-70s either day. Wednesday, like Tuesday, could feature a stray shower or two in eastern and northeastern Kentucky. Overnight lows Thursday and Friday morning will fall into the upper 40s in spots.
After our well-deserved break in the active weather during the workweek, rain chances return by the weekend. Rain showers and storms will move in on Saturday and continue into early next week. Some heavy rain could be possible, particularly west of I-75 into central/western Kentucky.
Stay with the ABC 36 Storm Team for more updates.
