Quiet start to Tuesday ahead of a few afternoon showers and storms

Meteorologist Dillon Gaudet has the latest in your full ABC 36 Storm Team forecast

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Happy Tuesday! After the rainy start to yesterday, conditions are dry to start your Tuesday. We will be tracking isolated-to-scattered afternoon showers and storms. Not everyone will see rain, though. There’s also a higher chance for southeastern Kentucky to see storms than  areas north and west of Lexington. Grab the rain gear just in case! Rain chances drop off this evening and we will be left with another warm and muggy overnight, with lows only falling into the upper 60s and low 70s.

Wednesday will be very similar to Tuesday. A mainly dry start to the day ahead of afternoon and rain storm chances. Not everyone will see rain but there will be showers and storms firing up during the afternoon.

A frontal boundary will try to sweep through the region on Thursday. This will increase our rain chances during the day, but will also knock our humidity down a bit heading into your Friday. We won’t stay completely dry for everyone on Friday but it will likely be the driest day of the entire week with the lower humidity. Temperatures will begin to warm up late this week into the start of the weekend. The model data remains all over the place for the end of the weekend. We are keeping the rain chances around, with temperatures in the mid-to-upper 80s.
