Our quiet weather pattern continues for your Tuesday! Today will be a bit cooler than yesterday with afternoon highs reaching the low-to-mid 50s. Temperatures will spike mid-to-late week with upper 50s and low 60s in the forecast. Enjoy these temperatures while they last because colder air will likely return next week. Rain chances will return Thursday night into Friday, leading to a few waves of showers this weekend.

Northeasterly winds will keep temperatures chilly early Tuesday, before afternoon highs return to the low-to-mid 50s. Temperatures will spike Wednesday into Thursday as we get a shift from a northeasterly wind, to a southerly wind. Highs on Wednesday will push the upper 50s, while Thursday could feature temps into the mid 60s.
This will lead to rain showers returning Thursday night into Friday morning. The second half of the day on Friday is looking drier compared to the morning. There is some uncertainty surrounding the additional waves of showers over the weekend. The trend yesterday was that Saturday would be mainly dry, with waves of showers on Sunday. But there was a noticeable shift in the forecast models overnight showing waves of showers Saturday into early Sunday. Right now the weekend forecast is still a bit up in the air, with the timing of additional showers as the biggest question.
Monday is where things will take a turn. An area of low pressure will be developing to our west late this weekend before traveling through the region on Wednesday. The exact track of this low will make all the difference between if we see all rain or the possibility of some wintry weather trying to mix in. We are still nearly a week out, so it is far to early to be talking specifics. Below average temperatures are looking likely into the middle of the month as we are expecting a region-wide pattern change.
