Pulaski County drug roundup nets dozens

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – More than forty people were taken into custody early Tuesday morning as part of a drug roundup in Pulaski County.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office says it was part of a joint investigation with the Lake Cumberland Area Drug Task Force, Kentucky State Police, Somerset Police Department, Burnside Police Department, Ferguson Police Department, Science Hill, Eubank Police Departments and Constable M. Wallace

Officers from the agencies began the countywide drug roundup at 7 a.m.

The sheriff’s office say they were searching for 48 people wanted on Pulaski County District Warrants and Grand Jury Indictments for various drug offenses.

The majority of drug offenses were for trafficking in a controlled substance.

Everyone taken into custody was processed at the Hal Rogers Fire Training Center then taken to the Pulaski County Detention Center.
