Prestonsburg Police: Dog Shot In Head; Tail Cut Off
Police said the German Shepard was found wandering in Prestonsburg.
Investigators say some good samaritans took her to a vet.
She was then flown on an airplane to an emergency animal hospital in Louisville.
The dog nicknamed ‘Cello’ was treated at BluePearl Veterinary Partners.
She underwent surgery Tuesday night.
The Prestonsburg Police Department was actively investigating the case.

The Arrow Fund was accepting donations to help Cello.

The Humane Society of the United States said it was offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
