President Trump endorses Daniel Cameron for KY Attorney General
WASHINGTON, D.C. (WTVQ) – A candidate for the office of Kentucky’s attorney general has picked up an endorsement from President Donald Trump.
The president tweeted Monday afternoon he was endorsing Republican candidate Daniel Cameron, who was the former legal counsel for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
Trump called Cameron a rising “new star” in the Republican Party, tweeting: “The Republican Party has a new STAR, his name is Daniel Cameron (@djaycameron), and he is running for Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.He is tough on Crime, Strong on Borders, and will fight for our Second Amendment. Daniel will never let you down. He has my Full and Complete Endorsement!”
This is the second Kentucky Republican Trump has endorsed. He has also endorsed Governor Matt Bevin’s reelection bid against Attorney General Andy Beshear.
