President declares disaster in 22 Kentucky counties
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ)- Governor Matt Bevin says he has received notification Thursday that President Donald Trump has declared a disaster in several Kentucky counties.
That declaration will allow those counties to get federal recovery aid to make repairs to roads, bridges, and other infrastructure.
From February 9th through February 14th severe flooding caused major damage.
Counties included in the declaration are Bell, Breathitt, Clay, Estill, Floyd, Harlan, Johnson, Knott, Knox, Lawrence, Lee, Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, Martin, Metcalfe, Owsley, Perry, Pike, Powell, Whitley and Wolfe.
