Pre-orders being taken for book documenting LPD history

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Police Department says that publisher Acclaim Press is now accepting pre-orders for a book documenting the 184-year history of the force.

The hardcover, full-color book will chronicle unit histories, officer memories, people and events, and will include hundreds of historical photographs.

The LPD is hoping the public will consider purchasing a book, as the more pre-orders the publisher receives, the more pages will be authorized for the project.
