Power outage in part of Lexington

UPDATE: Kentucky Utilities says power has now been restored to all but five customers in the Beaumont Parkway area.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – More than 2,000 people are dealing with a power outage in Lexington.

According to Kentucky Utilities, the power outage is affecting 2,179 customers around the Beaumont Parkway area and extends past Man O’ War Boulevard and New Circle Road.

It started just before 9 a.m. Monday.

Kentucky Utilities says power is expected to be fully restored by 12:30 p.m.

There is no word yet on what caused the outage.
