Poll says Bevin is country’s least popular governor

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WTVQ) – A new poll says Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin is the least popular governor in the country.

The poll by the Morning Consult says Bevin has a 33 percent approval rating, which is tied with first year Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont.

However, Lamont’s undecided number sits at 29 percent compared to Bevin’s 16 percent.

The Morning Consult began tracking governor approval ratings in early 2017. Since then, Bevin has seen his net approval rating drop by 30 points.

Blue state Republican governor’s Charlie Baker of Massachusetts, and Larry Hogan of Maryland were at the top of the poll with approval ratings over 70 percent.
