Police: Woman tried to pass off dog’s urine as her own

PINEVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman is in custody after police say she tried to use her dog’s urine in place of her own during a drug test in Bell County on Monday.

The Pineville Police Department says 40-year-old Julie Miller, of Arjay, was at her regular probation visit when she was asked to do a drug screen.

Officers say they caught Miller with a sample of urine she attempted to pass off as her own. They say Miller admitted it was her dog’s urine and that she brought it in because she knew the test would show she had used methamphetamine and Suboxone.

Police say she did test positive for both substances.

Miller is charged with tampering with physical evidence, probation violation and drug trafficking.
