POLICE: Two injured in crash on Alumni Drive
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two women suffered minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash on Alumni Drive and E. New Circle Road, according to Lexington Police.
It happened right at midnight on Wednesday.
Police say two women inside of a Jeep Cherokee, were driving inbound on Alumni Drive, when another woman driving a car tried to turn left, and struck the Jeep, pushing it down into a ditch.
They say the two women inside the Jeep were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the other woman driving the car was not hurt, but did complain about minor neck pains.
The intersection opened back up after being closed for nearly an hour.
