Police: Teen Driver Hit Parked Vehicles

 A teenage driver is accused of plowing his car into three vehicles in a Lexington neighborhood.
 Lexington police said an officer spotted a car going at a high rate of speed down Versailles Road at around 10:20 p.m. Thursday.
 The officer followed the car with his emergency lights off onto Alexandria Drive.
 Police said the driver then lost control of the car, went off the road and hit two cars in one driveway and a truck in another driveway and three trees.
 The 17-year-old driver suffered non life-threatening injuries, according to police, and was taken to the hospital.
 He was cited for driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and wanton endangerment.
 Police said his 18-year-old passenger was not charged.
 The two parked cars and the driver’s car sustained severe damage.
 No one else was injured.
