Police: Suspect packing gun and a purse during robbery at Versailles gas station

VERSAILLES, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police in Versailles say a suspect brought a gun – and a woman’s purse – to a robbery at a gas station Tuesday morning.

According to police, the man came into the Marathon Gas Station on Lexington Road around 1:20 a.m. and showed the clerk a gun then demanded cash.

Police say he was also carrying a women’s wicker-type purse.

The subject is described as a heavyset white male, approximately six feet tall with strawberry/blonde hair and mustache, wearing a black Adidas cap, a black Russell Athletic shirt, dark sweat pants, black Nike shoes with a white stripe and white bandanna partially covering his face.

Police say he was also carrying a woman’s wicker-type purse.
