Police: Student brings loaded gun to Great Crossings High School
SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Georgetown Police Department says a student is in custody after he brought a loaded gun to school Wednesday.
The department says Georgetown Police School Resource officers were told just before 1 p.m. about a student with a gun at Great Crossings High School. Police say officers and school staff immediately began to investigate and, within minutes, the student was found, searched and disarmed. They say the 15-year-old was taken into custody.
Police say there was minimal disruption to the school.
Great Crossing High School just opened this school year.
