Police standoff ends peacefully in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WTVQ) – A police standoff Monday in Warren County ended peacefully with the arrest of a Bowling Green man.

According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, 31-year old Jesse Lillard was intoxicated and possibly wanting to harm himself.

Deputies say when they arrived on North Graham Street in Bowling Green, Lillard told them over the phone that he would engage in a shootout with deputies.

After a standoff with negotiations, Lillard finally walked out of his home peacefully and was arrested.

Deputies say Lillard was served with an Emergency Protective Order following his arrest.

He was taken to the Warren County Regional Jail.  He was charged with terroristic threatening, disorderly conduct and menacing, according to deputies.
