Police: Speeding violation leads to drug arrest
CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A traffic stop in Campbellsville leads to a drug arrest, according to state police.
Troopers say on Monday morning they pulled over 21-year-old Anshawn Francis of Hopkinsville because he was speeding.
Police say during the investigation they discovered that Francis had a suspended license and was not wearing his seat belt.
Marijuana and digital scales were found in the vehicle along with a handgun, according to investigators.
Francis was arrested and charged with Speeding, Failure to Wear Seat Belt, Operating on a Suspended License, Trafficking in Marijuana and Reckless Driving.
