POLICE: Shots fired at Lexington apartment complex

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say 37-year-old Harrison May faces several charges of wanton endangerment after he fired shots in the parking lot of Colt’s Run Apartments on Mapleleaf Drive.

It happened shortly after 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

According to police, several callers reported hearing gunshots in the area.

Police say when officers arrived they found the man in the parking lot who was armed with a handgun.

They say the man quickly complied with officer commands and dropped the handgun, and was arrested shortly after.

Police also say two parked vehicles that were unoccupied were struck by gunfire, as well as two apartment units, one that is vacant.

They say no one was injured.

Police say they are still interviewing residents at the complex to see if anyone saw anything prior to officers arriving.
