Police sergeant found not guilty of official misconduct
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Fayette County jury has found a Lexington police sergeant not guilty of official misconduct.
Jervis Middleton was charged in August of 2018 after a woman filed a complaint against him with police.
She accused Middleton of stalking and spying on her after their relationship ended.
Middleton was accused of using police equipment to get information on the woman.
On Wednesday, a jury deliberated for two hours and came back with a not guilty verdict.
Middleton was placed on administrative leave during the investigation and trial.
