UPDATE: UK student killed in motorcycle crash

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A University of Kentucky student from Cincinnati was killed in a motorcycle crash Wednesday, according to the Fayette County coroner.

The victim was identified as 22-year old Ryan Greenwell.  The coroner says Greenwell died at the scene of the crash from blunt force trauma.

The collision between the motorcycle and a car happened shortly after 9:30 a.m. on South Limestone between Virginia Avenue and Transcript Avenue near UK Hospital.

Police say one other person was hurt in the accident.

South Limestone was closed in both directions while the deadly crash was investigated.

The road reopened around 11:30 a.m., according to police.
