Police reminding drivers of increased traffic at Luke Bryan concert
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police are reminding fans to be patient as they anticipate increased traffic during Tuesday night’s Luke Bryan concert.
Police say they expect more than 20,000 fans to attend the concert at Talon Winery off Tates Creek Road. They are preparing for traffic jams along the two lane road and are asking for everyone’s cooperation.
Representatives of Talon Winery say the concert was rescheduled for Tuesday after Bryan’s crew struggled for several hours without success to bring their buses and equipment to the center stage. Excessive rainfall saturated the ground so much it made it impossible for crews to drive their vehicles.
Tuesday night, Police will be on hand to direct traffic before and after the concert. Gates will open for parking at 2 p.m. Lexington Police advise that cars will not be allowed on the property before that hour. Also, concert goers will not be allowed to wait in line along Tates Creek Road.
