Police, owner rescue horse in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 14-year-old horse found herself stuck in a hole in the mud this afternoon in Lexington.

Police say they were called to Greenwich Pike just before 2 Monday afternoon to help rescue her.  The property owner says he thinks the hole formed after this weekend’s storms.

Officers worked with the owner to rescue the horse with a tractor.  They say the rescue took about 15 minutes, and three pulls to get her out.
