Police: Marijuana found in home with children, three adults arrested

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – Williamsburg Police say marijuana was found in a home with children, which led to the arrest of three people on child endangerment charges.

Investigators say they were called to an apartment Sunday night regarding a domestic incident and smelled marijuana when they arrived.

Police say they saw a marijuana plant and residue in the kitchen.  Investigators say there were two children in the home at the time.  They were turned over to Social Services.

Investigators say Chelsey Lawson was holding one of the children when they arrived and that Lawson admitted to officers that she had smoked pot that day.

The parents of the children, Shawn Lawson and Kylie Scott, were both arrested on charges of endangering the welfare of a minor, according to police.  Investigators say Shawn Lawson was also charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
