POLICE: Men arrested for shooting, robbery

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police have arrested two men in connection to a robbery turned shooting last Friday.

According to his arrest citation, 22-year-old Octavius Wingate shot someone during a robbery attempt, back on June 21st, around 4:45 p.m.

According to police, 30-year-old Quentin Wingate II was also involved in the robbery.

The citation says the victim was hit several times in the torso.

The citation didn’t list where that shooting took place.

Octavius Wingate is now facing charges of assault and robbery.

Right now, Quentin Wingate II is only charged with robbery.

Both are scheduled to appear in court Friday.

According to police, they were called to Konner Woods Drive last Friday, after a man approached a group of people and asked for help after being shot, at 4:45 p.m.

Police say that man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

They haven’t given any further updates on his condition.

We’re still working to confirm with police if the Wingates are charged in the same incident that happened on Konnor Woods Drive.
