Police: Man arrested for knife assault

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – Richmond Police arrested a man on June 12, charging him with assault for stabbing another man.

Police say they were sent to an apartment on Madison Avenue, after EMS let them know they had gotten a call about a man who had been severely cut by another person and needed emergency assistance.  The officer arrived to find the apartment ransacked, and EMS already on the scene treating a man with two deep lacerations on his thigh and butt.

The officer was informed that he had passed the person responsible on the way up into the apartment, and backtracked to find 28 year-old Robert Frost waiting for the elevator.

Caught with blood still on him, Frost was arrested on the spot and police say he is being charged with first degree assault as well as public intoxication.

The victim, officials say, was transported to Baptist Health Richmond and received over 40 staples to close the wounds.
