Police looking for Florence bank robbery suspect

FLORENCE, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Florence Police Department says they are looking for a man they believe robbed a Florence bank and was armed with a handgun.

They say a man went into the Heritage Bank Friday evening around 5:45. He went up to the counter and showed a handgun. Police say the man demanded cash from each teller and after taking the cash, he ran off.

Police say he was last seen running north toward Main Street with an unknown amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 6’ and 6’3” tall.  He was last seen wearing a black trapper style hat with gray fur lining, a gray fake beard, a dark gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, black gloves and carrying a black backpack with a single strap.
