Police investigating after bank robbery in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police in Lexington are searching for a suspect after the Central Bank on Versailles Road was robbed Thursday afternoon.

Officers say the robbery happened around 1:45 p.m.  They say a man wearing a blue hooded sweat shirt, gray sweat pants, and a bandanna on his face came into the bank, showed a weapon, and demanded cash.

After he got the money, police say the man ran off toward Devonport Drive.

Two customers were inside the bank at the time.  No one was injured.
