UPDATE: Nicholasville teen considered dangerous after posting social media threat
NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 19-year-old man is considered dangerous after posting what Nicholasville Police consider a threat to officers on social media.
After investigating, officers say they have identified the suspect as 19-year-old Kristopher M. Cole.
The photo was taken on the app, Snapchat. It shows someone, who police say is Cole, sitting in a car with a gun seemingly aimed toward a law enforcement vehicle with a caption that reads “retaliation”.
Police say although there is a school in the background of the photo, they are sure that it was a threat toward law enforcement.
Police say Cole has arrest warrants for terrorist threatening and wanton endangerment.
Sergeant Kevin Grimes with Nicholasville Police says his department takes any threat seriously.
Grimes says Cole wasn’t in the system prior to this, but he says as long as Cole is on the run, he is considered a threat.
“If he’s willing to post a threat against law enforcement like that, then we do consider him dangerous,” he said.
Anyone with information about Cole’s whereabouts is asked to call the Nicholasville Police Department at (859) 885-9467.
