UPDATE: Victim identified in deadly crash on Winchester Road

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Traffic officials say all roads are back open after the crash.

UPDATE: (10/11/18 3:20 p.m.)

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Fayette County coroner has identified the woman killed in a two vehicle crash Thursday on Winchester Road and Patchen Wilkes Road.

The coroner identified the woman as 29-year-old Kayla McCoy. McCoy was taken to UK Hospital where she later died.

The coroner says McCoy was the passenger of a car involved in the crash.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)-Traffic officials say Winchester Road remains shutdown at Sir Barton Way after a deadly collision at Patchen Wilkes Drive.

They say two outbound/eastbound lanes are open.

Police are also blocking Meeting Street.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – One person is dead and two others were taken to the hospital after a head on collision Thursday morning, according to police.

They say it happened on Winchester Road at Patchen Wilkes Road.

Investigators say they are not sure why the person crossed the center line.

One person has life threatening and the other non life threatening, according to officials.

The crash reconstruction team is expected to be on scene several hours, according to police.
