Police: Elderly Woman’s Body Stored In Freezer For Years

A body found last month in Wayne County has been identified as a missing elderly woman from Pulaski County.

Investigators say her body was stored in a freezer for more than two years while her son collected her social security benefits.

Deputies say ninety six year old Faye Whiteford died of natural causes and that her body was kept in a freezer until late last year.

Her body was taken to a home in Wayne County where it was found late last month.

Investigators say when a Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputy went to question Whiteford’s son Jon, he shot himself. Detectives say there are lot of unanswered questions.
