Police: Driver slams into cars in parking lot in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man is charged after police say he hit cars in a Fayette County Public Schools parking lot.

The Lexington Police Department says a woman called 911 around 9 a.m. Wednesday, saying a man was tailgating her and bumping into the back of her car on Oliver Lewis Way.

Police spotted the driver and tried to pull him over but say he took off, lost control of his car and struck three parked cars in the Fayette County Public School facility parking lot on Russell Cave Road.

Police say a woman was in one of the parked cars. She was not injured.

The driver, identified as Ramazani Emongo, is charged with driving under the influence and wanton endangerment.
