POLICE: Crash between semi hauling horses and vehicle on I-75
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Ten horses are safe, after police say a semi-truck collided with a vehicle on I-75 North near mile marker 106.
It happened at 8:22 p.m. Sunday night.
Investigators say someone driving a semi-truck was hauling ten horses northbound on I-75 near mile marker 106, when someone driving a vehicle hydroplaned, and collided with the semi, forcing both of them off the roadway into a ditch.
Police say the horses and people involved did not suffer injuries.
They say a couple lanes were shut down to transfer the horses, and get both the semi-truck and vehicle recovered.
Police say they could not confirm whether this accident was caused by rain or not.
