Police Continue Targeting Kroger Thieves
Police continue their crackdown on thieves, targeting Kroger stores in Central Kentucky.
State police, and other law enforcement officers, say people are stealing items from Kroger stores, then selling them to other businesses for pennies on the dollar. On Friday, investigators served a search warrant on the Florence Food Mart on Florence Road, and arrested 48-year-old Mufeed Ayyad. Police also went to Nikel’s Food Market on Paris Pike, and arrested 43-year-old Nikel Ildemar and 52-year-old Joao Batista Da Silva.
State police say they were helped by Alcohol Beverage Control, Kroger, and the Lexington Police Department.
