Police: Clerk stops would-be robber, fires shot at suspect

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say a clerk chased away a would be robber after shooting at him.

According to Lexington Police, it happened at a Shell gas station on Towne Center Drive off Leestown Road just after midnight Sunday morning.

Police say a man entered the gas station and demanded money.

The robber ran away after the clerk shot at him when he tried to come around the counter.

Police are still looking for the suspect and no one was injured.

The clerk isn’t facing any charges.
