Police charge suspect in Lexington robbery spree

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington police have a break in the case of a robbery spree in Lexington that started back in August.

Officers say Lavonta Mejello Davis was already in custody at the Fayette County Detention Center when investigators were able to connect him to multiple robberies. Police say two of the robberies were at Common Grounds on Hartland Parkway. Officers say the others were at Krispy Kreme on Richmond Road, Dairy Mart on East Reynolds Road, and back on October 9th at Subway on East Main Street.

Davis was charged with five counts of Robbery 1st degree.
