Police capture suspects after bank robbery in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) -Lexington Police say they captured two men they think were involved in a bank robbery in Lexington on Thursday.
Officers say the robbery happened around 12:35 p.m. at the Central Bank on Tates Creek Road when a man in a blue hoodie and sweat pants entered the bank and demanded money. According to police, after he got the money, the man ran off towards an apartment complex.
Investigators were able to track the suspects to a vehicle on Alumni Drive at New Circle Road. Officers say the passenger, who they suspect is the robber, jumped out of the car and ran. Police say they took the driver into custody, and were able to capture the man who ran after a short foot pursuit.
No charges have been filed against either man.
