Police bust ‘Barn Burner’ attended by 300 partygoers
WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (AP) – Authorities arrested three men while busting a party attended by hundreds of people that they say included underage drinking.
Whitley County sheriff’s deputies tell news outlets that they received information that underage drinking was occurring at Saturday night’s farm event.
Responding agencies, including the Kentucky State Police, found a crowd of roughly 300 people. Officials say most were underage, intoxicated and were from several counties.
Authorities say 51-year-old Douglas Jones was arrested on unlawful transaction with a minor and public intoxication charges.
Also arrested were 19-year-old Dustin White and 22-year-old Tyler Jones for disorderly conduct, among other charges.
It’s unclear if they have attorneys.
No drugs were located. Those allowed to leave the party passed portable breath tests and field sobriety tests. Officers also contacted the parents of minors.
