Police Ask For Your Help In Georgetown Gas Station Robbery

Georgetown Police said they are searching for a suspect who robbed a Shell gas station around 1:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Officers said a man wearing a blue hoodie and a red bandana over his face demanded money from those working at the store on the corner of South Broadway and Showalter Drive.

Police told us the suspect implied he had a weapon before he took off with the cash.

They said K-9 units tracked the suspect’s scent to a nearby apartment complex but then lost it.

Officers said they are not sure if the gas station robbery is tied to a robbery Friday at the Winner’s Circle Motel.

Surveillance photos from that robbery showed a man wearing a clown mask and a second man wearing a bandanna to cover his face.

If you have any information on either robbery, contact Georgetown Police at (502) 863-7826.
