Police arrest Lexington man following two-state chase

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – A slow-speed, two-state police chase ended Tuesday morning with the arrest of a Lexington man.

According to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, just after 12 a.m. Tuesday, deputies spotted a reckless driver going at a high rate of speed on I-75 northbound.

They say the driver almost rear ended a Scott County deputy. When deputies tried to stop the driver, they say he turned off his headlights and took off.

When the pursuit when into Ohio, other agencies joined in and the driver slowed down, leading law enforcement on a slow-speed chase.

The chase stopped at the 183 mile marker on I-75 after the driver’s tires were spiked and his car was disabled.

Deputies say the driver, 23-year-old Nathanael Druggan, resisted arrest but was taken into custody.

Druggan is charged with wanton endangerment, fleeing and evading, reckless driving and speeding.
