Police: Ambulance director arrested for narcotics theft

BRAXTON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A County ambulance director in West Virginia has been arrested in a narcotics theft investigation.

State Police say they charged Braxton County ambulance EMS director Jamie Allison Mathes after a county employee says they saw Mathes using a syringe to inject something between her toes in her office.

According to court records, an office inventory of narcotics showed some had been tampered with or were missing and several used syringes were found.

Mathes is on paid leave.
