Police: 19 Children Found Alone In Bowling Green Home

Police say they discovered 19 children — ranging in age from eight months to 14 years — at home alone in Bowling Green for almost a week.

Police say the home didn’t have food or air conditioning, and the temperature was about 90 degrees when the children were found. The home also had nine dogs and a cat. Police say some of the children are siblings. Others are cousins.

A neighbor says the parents left last Wednesday, claiming they had to deal with a family emergency. Police say the children were checked out at a hospital, and are now in state custody.
