Police: 1 killed in train-pedestrian collision in Ashland

ASHLAND, Ky. (AP) – Authorities say one person was struck and killed by a train in Ashland.

Multiple Kentucky news outlets report the collision occurred around 11:45 p.m. on Thursday behind Hillcrest Apartments at Tunnel Hill.

Authorities have not released the name of the victim.

A crossing near the incident was closed for a few hours but has now reopened.

Additional details have not been provided.
