Playground addition coming to Charles Young Park
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington park will see a new addition, following Gov. Andy Beshear’s call to promote Col. Charles Young posthumously this week.
According to Lexington Parks and Recreation, construction will begin this spring on a new playground at Charles Young Park. The design is based on ideas from the Colonel Club, a group of William Wells Brown students and some helpful siblings assembled by Jill Wilson, Community Center Director.
Construction is expected to be complete by mid to late summer.
The park is located at 215 Midland Avenue.
